While a good gesture, not a good lesson to teach.
No one is going to bail you out of responsibilities when you’re an adult.

Agree 100%
Just taught the girls that if they say “Poor me” or look sweet and innocent, some big strong man with a wallet is going to give them money.
Sounds like a stripper / daddy relationship.
It was a good lesson showing the girls that there are good Samaritans. The girls will appreciate that and realize it was not a “bail out”.
Yeah, like leave those girls out there freezing so that they’ll be able to tell their grandkids how they stood out in freezing weather to sell cookies.
Lighten up some.
Totally agree...very bad lesson to teach the girls. Having them brave the cold, suffer a bit and persevere for a (what was once) a good cause is the best lesson of all. He taught the girls that Sugar Daddy will come along and save you. Not the way to raise hardy stock.
It must suck to be you.......sheesh!
How much money does that hard-working troupe make from the sales?
Answer my own question:
**The Girl Scouts keep 73 percent of the profits from each box of cookies sold; the rest goes to one of the two bakeries that make the cookies. That means that for every $4 box of cookies sold, the Girl Scouts keep $2.92. While the national organization does earn royalties from the bakeries, they receive no profits from cookies sold, states Daily Finance.**
