Actually the agreement that Kuchar had with the caddie prior to the tournament that he was going to pay the caddie $3K for the event. A professional golfer and caddie have a tight relationship and the tour caddie does a lot of work as he has a good understanding of the PGA players tendencies.

The local caddie did little more than carry Kuchar's bag. Kuchar had to do most of work that his regular caddie would do (yardage, club selection, reading greens, etc.) on his own. After Kuchar won the tournament he paid the caddie $5K which was more than the original agreement. It may have been a PR blunder, but he caddie should have been happy with the $5K for carrying a bag for the week. I guarantee if this caddy wasn't from Mexico is wouldn't be a big deal.

Stop it with that nonsense, you can't guarantee anything...Kuchar needed a caddy no matter what country he was from.

Read the articles regarding the incident, there's not one PGA professional that agrees with what he attempted to do...........Even his own caddy refuses to make a statement so you know how he really feels.....

His first win in 4 years. That’s a long draught. It’s not surprising he’d be a cheap when it came time for the cut. He may never win again. The PGA guys who finish near the bottom missing the cut much of the time don’t exactly live large.
