Jussie Smollett appears to have picked the wrong location for his "hate crime" to be caught on video, if we compare his Good Morning America interview to the latest reports about the two Nigerian men who say the actor-singer paid them to stage an assault.

The most important dot to connect to all of the above, though, comes from Smollett himself, who told Good Morning America (GMA) last week that he suspected a surveillance camera caught the whole incident.
Speaking to GMA's Robin Roberts, Smollett said, "And I looked up and I saw there was a camera directly on the light post that is in the intersection. So I'm like, 'there it is!'... And then the detective told me that the camera inside of the casing was facing north, so they didn't have it, and that was disappointing."
That detail appears to stick in his craw. Later in the interview, unprompted, he brings it up again: "The camera facing north, how is that my issue?"
If these brothers are telling the truth that the attack was pre-planned, Smollett may have arranged for it to take place in a location where he assumed it would be recorded.
And one can imagine, had there been surveillance footage of the attack, the investigation would have proceeded very, very differently.
Once police had the footage, it would leak. Once cable and network news had the footage, it would loop endlessly. The fact that the two brothers are black wouldn't matter. CBS Chicago reports that a black face mask was found in their apartment. Smollett told police the attackers wore face masks. With those face masks, the organized left (the media, Democrats, celebrities) were allowed to assume his racist attackers were white.

It appears the whole “affair” was meant to have political ramifications.
Was Kamala Harris part of the Jussie Smollett hoax?
A film producer named Tariq Nasheed, who also goes by hip-hop rapper-like names of “K-Flex” and “King Flex,” thinks this isn’t the end of the story. He smells a political rat.
His series of tweets raises suspicions that the political response to the matter, led by Democratic presidential candidates Kamala Harris (and Cory Booker), is suspicious, real suspicious, and there might have been a staged setup in order to get a law passed and rack up voter points.

It is political, all right. And quite the political theater. Oh, and what a coincidence: It happened in Chicago, home of the famous Chicago-Obama political machine that supports Booker and Harris with a vengeance.
Meanwhile, back in Hollywood, it’s pretty obvious that Nasheed knows the ways of Hollywood and its leftist establishment very, very well, so this is what leaped out at him. Actor, staged attack, Chicago political machine, presidential campaign, new anti-lynching law, and pin it all on Trump. Nasheed’s suspicions are well worth a closer look, because they seem to fit together.
If he’s right about them, then this whole farce is a doozy, and one can only hope it will politically finish Harris and Booker off, taking them down with Smollett.

guy just called in to Dennis P{eager from chicago. Said cops called in every day to talk shows to report irregularities in the case. 25 “tactical detectives” assigned to case.
Said the final straw was cops got a warrant on the redacted phone records and saw that the “victim” was on the phone with his “assailants.”

So the supposed WHITE MAGA attackers were pretending to be BLACK and in blackface. One more charge against the putative white attackers. There’s nothing worse than being in blackface today. Nothing.
Too clever by half.
One has to ask why Smollett didn’t have any white friends he could ask or pay to assist him in his racist hoax.

When you read it, you find it has NOTHING at all to do with lynching. It federalizes all crimes against any protected class.
