Explain this to me please. Did the article use the November photo as a surrogate current photo as proof she is just fine, and returning to work? If so, that is despicable fake news. It it something worthy of Stalin’s propaganda machine, if that is what they did.

YES. The journalistic standard is to say (File Photo) if the photo is not current. The NYT did NOT do this, but actually captioned the photo "R.B.G. returned to the Supreme Court on Friday"

I’m sure they hoped that most would not know this was an old photo...And of course, NYT readers wouldn’t know this...

I don’t know what to call this deal by the liberal media and politicians...It can’t be legal to hold back information such as they are...

Easier to use an old photo then to use a current doctored photo. People might detect the doctoring.

Similar to doctoring up a birth certificate for one that never existed

Let’s recall the news report a couple of weeks ago that said she attended a concert in her honor but no photos were available because “cameras weren’t allowed.” Yeah, I’m sure they confiscated everyone’s phone.

The American “free press” has become Soviet-era Pravda.

Yes, the New York times used that photo with the caption "Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg returned to the Supreme Court on Friday. Credit Sarah Silbiger/The New York Times." No mention of when the photo was taken.

The photo was actually taken at an event on November 16, 2018 at the White House, awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Justice Scalia received the award posthumously.

I searched around on the internet and found a similar photo taken at the same event.

Note the outfit Justice Ginsberg is wearing, and the dress worn by Justice Kavanaugh's wife, sitting behind Ginsberg. That is how we can tell when and where the photo was taken.
