We already had two rescues. Milo, a Yorkie, did NOT like being displaced by a female (my wife always wanted a little girl dog). Stan, a doodle mix, got along with her fine. But Milo’s entire mood changed. He quit playing with toys, wouldn’t sleep in his bed after Peanut slept there.

We would get another Chihuahua right now, but it would just hurt Milo too much and he’s getting up there.

But man, she cost us a ton.

Well, knock on wood, but so far our Peanut seems to be as healthy as a horse.

Best wishes to your Milo. We lost all of our dogs (and cats) to old age over the years, and Peanut may be the last dog we ever have in our lives, given our ages.

Our little Shi tzu is very wounded that we had the nerve to get a kitten! She’s been moping off and on for a month. She loves to get all the belly rubs and attention, and pouts whenever we play with or pet the cat.
