A woman was arrested in Seattle on Sunday night after video caught her driving into a group of people having a snowball fight, according to police.

That video — which has been viewed more than half a million times on Facebook —shows a small blue Jeep whipping around in a snowy intersection and then driving off the road and toward a group of people.

“Oh my god,” bystanders can be heard saying in the video, as those in the vehicle’s path scatter.(snip)

“This Seattle woman just attempted vehicular manslaughter against me, my brother, and my friends!!” Wieser wrote. “We were having a snowball fight and a snowball hit her blue Jeep, and THIS is how she responded!”(snip)

Police performed a field sobriety test on the woman and discovered she was under the influence of marijuana, KIRO reports.

Wieser’s video shows that after the woman drove toward the crowd, she got out of her car — not at all dressed for the weather — and ran toward people outside. She was apparently angry that a snowball had been tossed into her vehicle.

As she tried fighting one person, others come over and try to get her off, video shows. KIRO reported that the woman had a key wedged between her fingers.

“Before you wreck your car, or cause any more issues, please drive away,” said one of the people who broke up the fight and restrained the woman.

The woman yelled back.

She next asked someone to call the police for her.

Others then accused the woman of trying to run them down, video shows.(snip)

Before the road rage incident, participants said the snowball fight was all in good fun, KOMO reports.

“It was fun, it was playful,” Wieser said, according to the TV station. “People were having a good time.”

Snow and snowballs must be banned.

“in the city’s Capitol Hill neighborhood”

Sounds about right. Really like the area when I visited 5 years ago, but it was ultra lefty, and apparently people dive around stoned in the winter too. In conditions that sober people can barely deal with.

Stoned and driving is still illegal in Seattle IIRC.

In a fight between guys, holding a key between your fingers is enough to get the charges escalated much higher. It is evidence of trying to do severe bodily harm.

For just a crazy leftist snowflake she sure seems angry ...

Living my entire life here in Michigan, I'm very familiar with those driving conditions. That SUV was flying and only God guided it between the fire truck and the cars off to the side.......

I'm lucky in that I only had one winter driving accident. It was late February about 40 years ago and I was heading home from a local ski resort about 2:00 a.m. in my MG. I was on an expressway, It was drizzling rain and I knew it was kind of slippery so I was only doing about 30 MPH. About a mile ahead I saw lots of flashing lights and knew what had happened so I immediately took my foot off the accelerator pedal and started to slowly guide my car off the highway and onto the snow covered shoulder. Didn't matter how cautions I was, my car slid sideways off the road and slid right up a guard rail with my front wheels hanging over it.......

That "kind of slippery" was the worst black ice I've ever witnessed, it was almost as if a zamboni had gone thru there and smoothed it out.

The tow trucks were busy that night.

The video you linked to actually showed a real near miss. The video this thread is based on is a joke. The maximum speed of the jeep in question was never going much more than 5 mph... just a bunch of stoned and drunk idiots in Seattle hitting a stoned and drunk woman’s vehicle with snowballs and her trying to fight back in a stoned and drunk fashion.

We once spun off the road when I let my foot off the gas on an icy overpass... wrong thing to do in a front wheel drive car. Luckily we didn’t hit anything.

I once had a 1980 Pontiac Sunbird that I had put about 200 of weights in the trunk to help give it traction for a winter storm that had just hit. Big mistake!

Coming home from work on a surface street and only doing about 30 MPH(normally the expressway) I had to hit the brakes. While the front of the car slowed down, the over weighted rear end just kept going and I did a full 360 spin on the street. Didn't hit anything but sure scared the crap out of me.

It would have been the same if she had a few beers in her. DUI is DUI.

It's amazing the education that real world experiences gives us that we never forget. There but for the grace of God go I. My wife says this is especially true for me. She says if it wasn't for her prayers that I would be dead long ago.

Today's 4wd and AWD SUVs make people winter stupid. Several years ago I went to an indoor batting facility in Wixom, MI which is about 50 miles from me. On the way there, it started to snow, no big deal.

Two hours later, we had received about 2 inches of snow and the expressway in Oakland County hadn't been salted yet by the county road commission and there were cars and trucks that had spun off the road all along the route.......

As soon as I hit the county line for my county, the Macomb County road commission had already been through and had salted the highway and it was all clear......

I’m lucky, now that I’m retired I don’t have to go out in the winter crap if I don’t want to. We just had a bad ice storm last night and road conditions were awful this morning. Temps are now up to 32 degrees and it’s just raining so the highways should just be wet......
