Today’s Cryptogram

VW PBAI LFW DLEWIPLF CQ LFW LWOZLBLACI VW EWDADL. EBNZF VBNKC WOWEDCI

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications, unfortunately they are copyrighted so we can't use them here. So, we're just going to make up our own.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter.

For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

Send me a private reply if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

Solving the puzzle under 8 minutes is good, under 6 very good, under 4 excellent and under two "you're a pro!"

Those of you looking for an added challenge can try to solve one sentence at a time, i.e. solve the entire first line, then go to the second line etc.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

Pleasant interlude upon a mid night awakening. Once the 4th word emerged the others fell into place 3 minutes.

Three minutes. Tinkering around with the possible 3-letter words (the most common and obvious ones) revealed the last name, and from there it was just bing-bang-boom. He’s a favorite of mine.

Either this puzzle was easier or I’m getting better.
I choose to believe the latter. ;)

Yep, I also look for patterns like h-e-r-e (where, there, here) for example.

That was fun! I’ve never tried one of these before. Took under 10 minutes, I’m thinking, but I’m slow!

Can you please add me to the list? I can use some brain exercises!!!!

Oh, that makes me so very happy. We started with just about two or three people, and I think you’ll be the 57th. I’m not sure how many actually are doing these, but I get a real kick out of the comments I’m getting.

For example there was one gal, pretty fed up with them, and she wanted off the list. She stuck it out, now she does these every day and usually under 3 minutes. Which is pretty awesome.

8 to 10 minutes when you’re starting out is a good time. Try copy and pasting it to Hal’s Helper.
