Today’s Cryptogram

MX YXV RPXCHWC GHCSHHX IPSHT YXO IYCMHXRH, GHC PX IYCMHXRH. S.G. ITHWRPCC

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications, unfortunately they are copyrighted so we can't use them here. So, we're just going to make up our own.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter.

For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

Send me a private reply if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

Solving the puzzle under 8 minutes is good, under 6 very good, under 4 excellent and under two "you're a pro!"

Those of you looking for an added challenge can try to solve one sentence at a time, i.e. solve the entire first line, then go to the second line etc.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

It’s easier to work on the puzzle without having to use your pencil.

Let me know if you want on or off our Cryptogram Ping List, (currently at 40!)

Solution to our last puzzle:

If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough. Mario Andretti

on the list please

i try to solve by taking all the 2 and 3 letter words, and figuring out what the 2 and 3 letters stand for- usually it gives hint enough to solve the larger words- not always though

[[ If everything seems under control, you’re just not going fast enough. Mario Andretti ]]

I forget who said it, but a race driver once said ‘After the third flip i lost control’

I’d like to be on the ping list. I’m not a number person but I love cryptos and crosswords

Okay, that was a hard one. That took me 20 minutes. The word with three H’s was the first one I finally figured out, and even then I was puzzled for several minutes. Never heard of him, never heard that quote. That was pretty tough!

Thank you. I was at the abandon hope stage and went back in to attack the two letter words after reading your post. 3 minutes later all done.

You’re becoming a true pro at these. I know this sounds silly, but I think these little puzzles, affects our brain chemistry. You’ll notice it very subtly at first, then obviously as you’ll find yourself talking and thinking more clearly esp when speaking before groups of people.
