The Holy Martyrs Ferrahian High School and the AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School, in Encino and Canoga Park respectively, were vandalized overnight, in what police are calling a hate incident and a hate crime, after school officials reported Turkish flags hanging on campus.
After reviewing footage from security cameras, officials are reporting that at 4 a.m. Tuesday a man wearing a mask approached the Ferrahian campus and began hanging the flags on the fence facing White Oak Avenue and on the staircase railings inside the campus.
Police have been called at both campuses and are investigating.
Ferrahian school principal Sossi Shanlian assured parents that all precaution has been taken to ensure safety of the school.
“We would like to assure you that the school has taken precautions to ensure the safety of our students and authorities have been notified,”

Obviously the Turks are gonna get pissed. Every year during the Armenian Genocide anniversary, the Armenians block traffic here in L.A....every year. They make sure EVERYONE knows they got their asses kicked, er I mean, murdered by the Turks.
A lot of Greeks don’t like the Turks either.
That feud started in the 15th Century when the Turkish Ottoman Empire took over a large portion of Greece mainland and many of the Greek Islands. This began 300 years of unrequested Muslim occupation, compliments of Turkey.
30K Greeks were massacred when the Ottomans captured Cyprus in 1570.
I’ve had both Turkish and Armenian friends. There’s not doubt in my mind that Turks slaughtered Armenians. I don’t understand the hatred the Turks have after so many decades have passed since their atrocity.

In a place I live every Armenian has an anti-Turkish bumper sticker and many other related decorations on their vehicles some mocking Turkish flag and other Turkish symbols in the most derogatory forum one may imagine. I am not supporting any displays of Turkish supremacism but the headline itself implies that the Turkish flag is something filthy ‘desecrating’ a thing it is put on. There is something wrong in playing offended in such offensive way.
A year ago, I have an Armenian acquaintance who told me that a lot of Armenians voted for Trump because of the way he talked down on Erdogan. That’s what he told me.
Manoogian, now that is a cool name. “ian” indicates location, but where is/was Manoog? Clue for later research.
Wait until the Turks find out how many Armenians are still in Anatolia. Lots of them changed their names, but still practicing Christians in secret.

There are a lot of Republican Amermenians, but not many notable conservative Armenians.
