ABC Nightly News took this hook, line and sinker and ran with it. Fits their narrative that white men are bad and black men are good.
They could fix the headline by putting “star” in quotes instead of “Empire.”
CPD also says: when Smollett contacted police at 2:42AM, he was still wearing the rope around his neck. The alleged encounter occurred at 2AM. Police have the rope and it will be analyzed.
