Country music legend and Hall of Famer Randy Travis suffered a life-altering bout of viral cardiomyopathy in 2013 that led to a massive stroke and brain surgery, leaving him unable to speak and sing like he did when he was amassing 18 #1 hits and selling over 25 million records. But friends and family of Travis say he still has a steel trap of a mind, and though he may not sing as much as he once did, he can still write.(Excerpt) Read more at savingcountrymusic.com ...
My brother is a bum got hooked on drugs at a young age. He ends up leaching off of women. Randy Travis’ sister was one of them. Randy bought her a mobile home in North Carolina. My brother used to live in it with her.
I doubt that will be in the book though.
That sounds like it will be very interesting. I’ll watch for it in the library.
Don’t be so sure.
Sorry to say I’ve never heard of him, or his music, but the face looks sort of familiar. I wish him well.

I think he was in a few movies.
He was in a few movies, most of which I’ve never heard of. He was also a voice actor in cartoons, and appeared on the TV shows ‘Frasier’ and ‘Matlock’.
The song “Forever and Ever, Amen” is one of my favorites....although he didn’t write it. Paul Overstreet did, along with “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy”.
Now, I remember his voice. Many thanks.

“His music was great. The so called country music today is crap.”
I could not agree more. Most of what passes for C&W today is more like “Rap” than anything else. Total garbage.
Had a chance to see him many years ago and I turned it down. sigh. Should’ve gone.
Check out Paul Brandt. He’s one of the few I’d say still do it right.
Enjoying Dwight Yoakam -(he’s 62) so many of the great ones are no longer with us.
Johnny Cash, Glenn Campbell, Tom Petty, John Denver - too many to list. Very sad.
Nice voice and music; thanks. Sorry I missed him all these years.
theres nothing like some good hick-hop to get the beers spilliin’ ..
LACs
I knew he had a list but didn’t realize it was so long. I downloaded and watched Texas Rangers last week and it was great!
