Pope Francis said on Friday it was “senseless and irresponsible” to stigmatize migrants and see all of them as threats to society, weighing in again on one of the most divisive issues in the United States.
Francis, who has made migration a key theme of his trip to Panama, spoke to several hundred thousand young people at a religious service on the waterfront of the country’s capital, one of the key events of the Roman Catholic Church’s World Youth Day.
“We want to be a church that fosters a culture that welcomes, protects, promotes and integrates; that does not stigmatize, much less indulge in a senseless and irresponsible condemnation of every immigrant as a threat to society,” he said. […]

As a Catholic I wish the commie asshole would mind his own business. Last time I saw it the Vatican had a rather high wall around it. And the Swiss guard was not welcoming vagrants (oh sorry “migrants”)

How many migrants has the pope allowed into the Vatican in the last 12 months? What would he do if they moved into the private and walled-off Vatican garden?
I think we know the answer to both questions.
As soon as the heretic starts taking scores of them into his walled compound to look after for the rest of their lives, I’ll start giving a damn about what he has to say.
Now I had to look up the difference in migrant and immigrant. Migrant is someone who moves around from one place to another.
Immigrant is someone who comes to a new place and stays.
The catholics have a wall ... a large wall. Wonder what for if they are open to anyone coming into their abode. Except they are NOT open to anyone coming in... neither are we!
Gosh, Popie my boy, you're 100% correct!! They're not all good, and they're not all bad. Therefore, we should put a process in place to try to weed out the bad, and find the good, and make sure the they are healthy and not bringing in diseases or illegal substances or enslaved children. Let's make it a civilized process, with paperwork and offices and attorneys and government representatives, where people can apply and wait for us to make that determination.
If ONLY we could make a system like that... and maybe call it immigration law...
