I find few things more enjoyable than using Fibonacci's 'maths' when selecting colors and crocheting scarves or afghans. (Works for knitters, too!)

"Fibonacci number: In mathematics, the Fibonacci numbers, commonly denoted Fₙ form a sequence, called the Fibonacci sequence, such that each number is the sum of the two preceding ones, starting from 0 and 1."

Always loved Escher just an amazing artist. A big hit during our “experimental” period if you know what I’m saying.

The lyrics to Tool's song "Lateralus" follow the Fibonacci Sequence.

Cool.

Fibonacci sequences were used in classical (broad sense) music. A supposed example is Mozart’s Sonata no. 1 in C Major: The first movement has two sections of 38 + 62 = 100 measures - as close as possible to the golden ratio.

I was once a massage therapist. I wanted to buy a Golden Ratio bed: They use the golden ratio in the construction geometry for stability and rigidity.

The 16:10 monitors have a more appealing screen format (to me) than the more common 16:9 ratio.

Elsewhere, the good old 3 X 5 card is a close approximation of it.

Yea! Another Fibonacci using fiber artist. I knit a fibonacci sweater. but I was varying both stripes in an increasing order. I love how you did your colors reversing the order.

I’m going to steal your idea for the next afghan I make.

Beautiful scarf. What yarn did you use?

What a wonderful idea! I just learned to crochet over the holidays...and I am a math geek! As soon as I get good (I’m practicing by making new blankets for the house pets) I’m going to try this!
