My son got one of these recently. As proof he doesnt watch porn, he laughed about it and sent the email to everyone in the family.
They’ve upped the ante since I got a similar email a few months ago. That one threatened to send all my contacts video of me watching porn on my computer (BWAHAHA!) if I didn’t send something like $250 in bitcoin.
I covered the webcam before I ever turned my notebook computer on.
I may have got it backward. I sent everybody in my family $731.00 in bitcoin. Still waiting for my porn.
Reply back saying it’s not “watching porn” its “reading erotica”...
I lost passwords years ago on some "who cares" accounts and they were picking these up from password sites. I had changed the passwords (also years ago) after the hack became public so it was immediately obvious it was bogus crap.
I use two-factor authentication whenever possible on all high-value sites.

Stuff like this never makes it off my service providers email, and should it manage it is marked spam on my end and deleted unread.
Don’t open emails from people you don’t know. Even then, don’t open half of those you do know.
