The preview for such a movie and the advertising would probably go into the tens of millions of dollars.
The build up would start two years in advance.
The belief being that if a preview was exciting enough, ‘Woke’ enough, people would be knocking the theater doors down to see it.
The critics would spin themselves into purple prose ecstasies, lavishing praise.
The earnings would very likely disappoint, the way Lady Ghostbusters did.
Then the public would be ridiculed for being ‘phobic Trump Voters’.
Some wealthy directors might insist on making a sequel even though the original didn’t sell.
They don’t want to give ‘The Normals’ the satisfaction of having rejected this new and different idea.
Who the hell is Dominic West? Some fudge packer? and why do we give a damn about what he(?) backs?
That will never happen. People searching for "transgender shaft" will come up with information that could make them very uncomfortable.
That title is incorrect, it should read:
“Dominic West backs idea for next James Bond to be mentally ill”
The Bond concept is kind of played out anyway, so a transgender Bond might be the final nail in the coffin.
They are trying very hard to ruin the long running successful franchise known as 007. Without any lick involved, just plain old stupidity, I am confident they will succeed.

I have an outline of a Jane And movie(following the Broccoli formula) circa 2100. She is the great niece of 007 and avenging his and his wife’s avalanche death caused by synths using high pithed tones,. Anyway I think it works well.
Too much baggage for a tranny, and so trendy. But trendy doesn’t always sell tickets.
I always supported Live Owen even before Craig who I believe is good Bond.
There was ahead earlier this month. I stated i support Idris Elbe and Michael B Jordan both excellent black actors.
The formula is tired and worn and calls for a shakeup and we have jumped the shark on Fleming since Roger Moore.. IMO.

I saw it and it was sickening; I would have left but was with friends. They did the same thing in McHale’s Navy when Ensign Carter was played by a black and it has nothing to do with racism but just the pandering of Hollyweird.

Nurse Who will accomplish what the Master, Rani, Daleks, Cybermen, and the rest didn’t - kill off Doctor Who.
The good news is that we don’t have to watch it.
I gave up on that movie after 10 minutes.
The series was before me and catch it sometimes. Good solid comedy.
