In Memory of Silke Bischoff (Notice Media Behavior)

In 1988, two bank robbers took hostages in what was then West Germany. The police blundered mightily and three people died - none of them the bank robbers.

Watch how the media handled this event, assisting the robbers and asking this young teen girl what it felt like to have a pistol aimed at her throat. The media did not kill this girl but the way they interviewed the gunmen as if they were pop culture heroes is shocking.

As reporters today preen themselves as arbiters of moral outrage, remember this swarm and the "values" they showed this poor girl.

It's a bit similar to their treatment of Princess Diana at her car wreck in Paris but Diana was, at least, a "public figure".
