He did go to West Point but not for too long. He could still claim to be a West Point alum because that term should apply to all former students and not just those who get a degree or a commission. Leary got a degree from Alabama. He became acquainted with JFK’s mistress, Mary Meyer, during his LSD pioneer days. She became an LSD pioneer as well.
