It becomes a familiar recipe in Europe: If you want to see a traditional Christmas, head East.
While you can barely see the Christmas trees through barricades and road blocks in Germany, in Poland its a completely different story.

I absolutely Poland.
Spent a couple of weeks there this summer.
Except I can’t drink that much..

I volunteered at a V.A. this weekend. Shocked I repeatedly heard “Happy Holidays!”
They only heard “Merry Christmas” from me!!!!!

FYI, Polish jokes started with the Nazis during WW2. Once I learned that historical fact, they ceased to be funny.

Yep, and I LOVE the heritage I married into. Yes, proudly, there is a “-ski” at the end of my name now. God blesses Poland richly!
They left out photos of tubs filled with water and live carp.

There are no religious holidays anymore:
Christmas: generic holiday (Christ is out of it)
Easter: bunnies and eggs and chocolates
Thannksgiving: turkey day
Memorial day: beach and picnic and grilling day
Labor day: last day before school, and beach season ends
But isnt a smug sense of tolerance and superiority more important than safety, fun, and freedom? /S
