SHOULD COPS TRANSPORT BALLOTS?

Posted on 12/14/2018 12:18:05 AM PST by DIRTYSECRET

Getting tired of ballot harvesting. We know it's going on. Should we continue to take it sitting down? Cops are intimidating to the left. It's convenient. Otherwise it's a 3rd world country we live in. 2 years to fix it.Rats control the house. We'll need states with gop legislatures to fix it.

Just count them where the votes are cast.

If you just put six chairs out for randomly picked observers to watch the count at the poll site...most everyone would agree on the fairness. But there are twenty-odd dynamics at work which complicate this business.

Like this absentee ballot business from the county-seat. Or the 200 folks who show up at a polling station, and aren’t listed.....but they do a provisional ballot. Then you have some counties which do a 10-day early voting situation.

Maybe honest poll watchers would help. Big city cops could be corrupt, crooked ?

1. Ya don't even have to request a ballot for one to be printed for ya.

2. Ya don't have to fill it out yourself.

3. Ya don't even have to turn it in yourself.

What could go wrong?

I floated a similar idea a few days ago...

My thought was to have USPS employees deliver the ballots. Only votes arriving by mail, postmarked before the polls closed, would be valid. Postal workers would collect and postmark ballots at the post office, much like they do tax forms on Apr. 15th. They would then deliver them on election night, to be counted along with normal, walk-in votes at the polling locations. No one else would be allowed to deliver ballots.

But, like the Romans said, who would guard these guards? The fraud would just change locations, from polling locations to post offices, or police stations...

At least then messing with them would be a federal crime.

Lyn Nofziger worked for Reagan and voted by mail. The postman knew who he was and delivered his ballots a day late.

Of course cops should transport ballots. All cops are above reproach, never take bribes, and do the right thing 100% of the time. I trust them fully. Maybe the Black Panthers could give them a hand.

Simple solution:

Have voting on one day....in person....with verifiable ID.

Vote on a Saturday. Seniors can vote in an 8 hour period the day before to lighten up the lines. Fingerprint like they do in Iraq. We deserve to know who the winner is on election night. The Friday can double as veterans day for those who don’t take elections seriously. I’m talking’ 3 day weekends. Include ‘none of the above’ on the ballot.

“Have voting on one day....in person....with verifiable ID.”

Yes, and make falsification of ID, or any kind of intentional voter fraud punishable by automatic loss of voting rights for life, and 10 years in prison - first offense.

The entire chain of custody should be recorded on continuous video until all outstanding disputes are resolved. No excuse not to have surveillance of our own election systems.

Need COPS now to follow ‘chain-of-custody’, security and basic audit procedures?

F*, faster to ‘top Banana Republic’ than I thought.

So you trust Broward County Sheriff Israel and others of his ilk? The various police chiefs that Baltimore has had over the last 5 years?
