Captain Z-ro (starring and created by Roy Steffens) was a children's television space opera featuring the eponymous time traveler and his companion, Jet (Bruce Haynes), visiting many key figures from the past
Perhaps this episode (featuring Benedict Arnold story line - episode #4) will give you the similar connection.
I can actually remember that stuff. 1948, I’m 3 years old and my father has the firar TV set in Indianhead Maryland, people coming from two or three miles to get a look at it, sitting there watching Captain Video with fish bowls over their heads so they can be video rangers.....
I actually watched this about a month ago and it was pretty good by standards of the time. Hokey, but pretty advanced. It had a pyramid maze-puzzle, an A.I. robot, and teleportation
Hey, me too, exactly.
Only 1 yo at the time so fail to remember this one.
Do remember Buck Rogers and Science Fiction Theater. SFT, when seen today, will immediately sit down and take the time to view. Thunderbirds, not so much. By the time Space Force was shown, a few years later, the puppet fascination had passed.
