While President Donald Trump has used truculence, bluster, populism, and manufactured division to hide the true nature of his agenda, George Herbert Walker Bush used manners, civility, and grace to hide the truth of his and his familys agenda.
Both are very similar in their objectives. Both have enabled the continued transfer of wealth to the upper echelons of society. Both have sought to protect the interests of corporations and rich friends. But as we witnessed this week, Bush and the Bush family were far more effective with honey than with vinegar.
To wrap up this week of seemingly non-stop hagiographic coverage of George H.W. Bush, Jeff Schechtman talks with Russ Baker about the Bush family and Bakers blockbuster book Family of Secrets: The Bush Dynasty, Americas Invisible Government, and the Hidden History of the Last Fifty Years.

I kind of wondered when folks would get the message he had a huge network of friends who would drop everything to help each other.... A pretty nice way to say they ran thing to their benefit which is pretty much the definition of corruption.
Bush 1 and 2 were excoriated in the media and by the Dems. They were called dumb and stupid and terrible Presidents.
I wonder what Mr. Schechtman wrote of the Bushes when they were in office...
Overused thesaurus.
Kind of like the masons?
Dont get me started! LOL.
Take your time, there's only one right answer.
“Trump has used truculence, bluster, populism, and manufactured division to hide the true nature of his agenda”

The only reason the media praised Bush is because they have the memories of insects.
Remember this Rahm Emanual statement?
“You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”
To truly catch the spirit of modern democrats he should have said “You never let an event of any sort go to waste.”
Democrats of today never let any event go by without weaponizing it and using it to propagandize their agenda.
To democrats and liberals a death is just another opportunity to lambaste us with their grievances.
They gleefully stand on the bodies of the dead to bullhorn their messages of hate and sedition while accusing their targets of being crude, unfeeling and insensitive.
Bush-bashing and Trump-bashing by a partisan media shill.
