And yet he’s been a more effective president than we’ve had in 20+ years

Can’t completely disagree. I get tired of his braggadocio and I think I ultimately hurts his cause

That seems like an odd stance based on the audience he’s trying to attract.

I am going to give Tucker the benefit of the doubt that this report is somehow out of context.

Gee why do I think that Tucker’s going to say this report is misleading and out of context?

On the other hand the criticisms are somewhat valid because trump tried to deal with the republicans in Congress and trusted them.

However it’s impossible to say that trump has not had success and delivered on his promises in many areas and I’m sure Tucker knows that and says it.

Carlson said he cannot stand Trump’s self-aggrandizement and boasting.

That's a style thing. One doesn't always have to like the boss to respect him. Trump's results speak for themselves. Of course he won't get everything he claimed but he is making progress.

This is the WaPo.

I have every reason to suspect them of bias, spin, and hyperbole.

Tucker thinks it’s Trump fault because he doesn’t have seasoned D.C. people around him to navigate the legislative politics of getting these things done but he should know better that no matter who was negotiating on behalf of Trump...the Paul Ryan’s and others ineffective Republican elite were only going to go so far as in passing Trumps agenda; Tax’s cuts? Fine...Judges? Fine...everything else? No

Myopia.

Just stopping the climate change nonsense is more than anyone could even hope for. And he’s done that.

Tucker thinks he’s a clever boy.

Carlson has a mouthy opinion of Trumps performance without mentioning the sabotage directed at him by the two men that could have helped all of these projects come to fruition - Paul Ryan and John McCain.

“His chief promises were that he would build the wall, defund Planned Parenthood and repeal Obamacare, and he hasn’t done any of those things,” Carlson said, adding that those goals were probably lost causes. Trump, he said, doesn’t understand the system, and his own agencies don’t support him.

“He knows very little about the legislative process, hasn’t learned anything, hasn’t surrounded himself with people that can get it done, hasn’t done all the things you need to do, so it’s mostly his fault that he hasn’t achieved those things,” he added.

I’ve never watched the Tucker show because I “cut the cord” years ago, but I’ve seen clips. I like Trump and I would vote for him again over any dem, but I agree he hasn’t kept some of his most significant promises: no repeal and replace; no wall; no lock her up. He has helped pull the curtain back on the corruption in DC and the media, but he has not drained the swamp.

Well, I know of one that Trump has kept, which make Tucker Carlson either ignorant, a liar, or probably both:

As a candidate, Trump required that for every new federal regulation, two existing regulations must be eliminated. Check these two graphs out:

The Wall was Trump’s very first promise, and he has not accomplished that. I suspect he could build the wall by declaring it a national defense and national security necessity and take the funds from the Pentagon and Homeland Security. He has done well on the economy, North Korea, and trade and NATO issues, but The Wall is the most important. So, Carlson is at least partly right.

It’s Congress that isn’t competent.

It’s not Trump’s job to write legislation.

It’s Trump’s job to sign good legislation.
