I used to think I was just a regular person, but I was born white, which now, whether I like it or not, makes me a racist.
I am a fiscal and moral conservative, which by today’s standards, makes me a fascist.
I am heterosexual, which now makes me a homophobe.
I am mostly non-union, which makes me a traitor to the working class and an ally of big business.
I was christened by my parents, which now labels me as an infidel.
I am retired, which makes me useless.
I think and I reason, therefore I doubt much that the main stream media tells me, which must make me a reactionary.
I am proud of my heritage, which makes me a xenophobe.
I value my safety and that of my family and I appreciate the police and the legal system, which makes me a right-wing extremist.
I believe in hard work, fair play, and fair compensation according to each individual’s merits, which today makes me an anti-socialist.
I (and most of the folks I know), acquired a fair education without student loan debts and little or no debt, which makes me some kind of an odd underachiever.
I believe in the defense and protection of my country and I honor those who served in the Armed Forces, which now makes me a right wing-militant.
Please help me come to terms with the new me… because I’m just not sure who the hell I am anymore!

I ignore the labels. It makes me...happy to be me.
It does lind of make you feel like you have to say “I love big brother” to get along. But for all the points in that email, I say “tick, tick, tick,,,”

I told my kids a long time ago, register as a Democrat, vote Republican unless you find a Zell Miller Democrat who is better than the Republican. I made them look up Zell Miller and read about him.

It was a nasty noise. He put my old car on the lift, rotated the tire, heard the noise, grabbed a really big screwdriver and pushed the rusted metal away from the other metal. Voila. No more nasty noise.
He filled my tires, topped off all my fluids and when I asked him the cost...he said "forget it".
He made my day.
Now I'm all the things that you are Sod....And like you, never forget to count my blessings and thank God for all his gifts.

That is a good point. I crossed over to vote against Hillary in the 2008 primary, but I suppose telling a couple door knocking rats to eff off put me on a list permanently. They just piss me off.
If you are white you can claim to be 1 /67 part Cherokee and if you are male you can claim be switching over to some other gender and if you are heterosexual you can claim to be closeted and if you are conservative you can claim you are converting to socialist conservative... BUT... does that win you any points? NO!
How about this. Somebody calls you a racist, sexist, homophobic conservative. You say, “You feel lucky, punk?” They go, “WHAT!” And you sick your dog (who’s name is Magnum) on them.
I’m all those things and retired, too. Can’t threaten my livelihood for what I believe or am. So I don’t care what progressives think except their implied message is,
“We’ll MAKE you care!!”
I still haven’t decided if I’m, “paper or plastic”
I request a straw when drinking a beverage in a restaurant, now I am an anti environmental ocean creature killer.
