Man arrested for DWI says 'I drank too much because the Jets suck!'

A man arrested for a drunk driving crash in New Jersey last weekend gave officers a bonkers excuse for his drunkenness and the accident that followed: the continuing suckage of the New York Jets.

Christopher Greyshock, a 57-year-old man from West Milford, New Jersey, was arrested after rear-ending a car and injuring two people on Sunday, a short time after the Jets had been soundly thwacked by the Buffalo Bills 41-10. The North Jersey Record reported that police were called to the scene of an accident that had taken place at 5:15 p.m., and two people were being treated by paramedics when they arrived.

As officers approached Greyshock, Capt. Larry Martin told the Pascack Valley Daily Voice that Greyshock was “staggering and swaying,” nearly falling into traffic and unable to stand up straight. Greyshock also had liquid stains on his pants and officers could smell liquor on his breath, so they administered a field sobriety test. Unsurprisingly, Greyshock failed. After he failed the test, he gave the officers his reason for being so drunk.

If the J-E-T-S sucking was a reason to hit the bottle there would be tens of thousands of cases of cirrhosis.

Reminds me of a guy named "Dennis from Boston" who would occasionally call the Imus radio show in an apparent state of intoxication and entertain the host and listeners with his jokes ...

DENNIS (with a drunken giggle): "How are you doing, Imus?"

IMUS: "How am I doing? Well, I'm sober this morning, Dennis."

DENNIS: "Hey, don't give me a hard time. I quit drinking!"

IMUS: "Really? When?"

DENNIS: "About five hours ago. I just got out of jail."

IMUS: "Well, I guess you have to start somewhere. What happened?"

DENNIS: "I was driving home last night when I got pulled over by a police officer. He said, 'Have you been drinking, sir?' ... I said: 'Yes, I've had a few drinks.' ... He said: 'Can you step out of the car please?' ... so I said: 'What's the matter, officer -- don't you believe me?'"

LMAO.

Another good reason to give up the anti-American NFL, as if you need one.

Especially getting beat that bad by the Buffalo Bills.

I say this as a current Pats fan that grew up in Orchard Park, NY. 3 miles from Rich Stadium home of the Buffalo Bills. (I switched allegiance when Wade Phillips benched Doug Flutie)

The Bills had only scored two TDs total in their previous two games then the Jets let them put up 41 points. How does Todd Bowles still have a job?!

Don't know why Jets fans are so upset. Your team has as many wins as the Oakland Traitors and the Santa Clara Forty-Whiners put together!

I was a die hard Knicks fan. Never understood why the team went to crap. You are one of the wealthiest teams in pro sports and your players suck as well as the coaches.

This year they have some kids with potential, however no solid veterans to help them grow. Enos Kanter might be the best 6th player in the game today and Tim Hardaway Jr. is doing well, but needs to get FG% up.

What they probably should do is invest in one or two quality veterans who can teach the young’ins about life in the NBA, especially when it comes to hard work good character and competitive spirit. Compare it to Kevin Costner in Bull Durham.
