I know because of where I sit.
The 2020 budget has only been talked about and has not seen actual legislation - only that it will be much smaller. No votes have yet been taken on this unwritten legislation which has to originate in the Democrat controlled House.
I sit high up enough to know where the money goes.

Everyone is pretending... while they continue to waste our money.
Times have changed and the game is being played much differently. Those who used to have the advantage from the left don’t have it anymore.
I would LIKE to think Trump knows this and pushes Rs to do it or those close to him push him to do it.
I did not think of that.
But those who are in the business should and should put it into action swiftly.

I suspect that Trump and those close to him are very competent. However, having worked in the real world, I have seen wonderful management sabotaged by low level people who do what the Japanese call, “Killing with yes.” “Yes, sir, I’ll do that.” And, then they do nothing. Or, they do something they know will fail, thus running out the clock. I have seen this happen even when it means everyone will lose their job. The people who would kill it with yes are what we call “The Deep State,” or permanent, non-elected federal employees who use their position to further an agenda.
The Founders would be disgusted with the condition of the government. The House of Representatives is now a totally irrelevant branch. The government is now run by Executive Order,Senate,judges, and political zealotry.

Yeah, its time to devote the entire US military budget to areas which are really socially important like more lactation stations; more women in front line combat units; better housing for transgenders especially after their sex change surgeries; color coordinated uniforms from the best fashion houses. Some could even go toward unilateral disarmament which could be very profitable ... China and Russia would pay top dollar for all those evil weapons, ships and planes. Then the military could concentrate all its resources on social issues alone. Wouldn’t that be wonderful since no money would be ‘wasted’?
