I taught skeet at Southern Miss while Bret Favre was there. A whole bunch of football players took the one hour course for the sure A but I missed Favre.

I did stop and loan him some vice grips while his pickup was dead.

First game of the season. Really. That’s the body of their season. Beating Michigan on week 1. Goooooooo Irish. Beat the pants off the other team like a priest during alter boy training. Ok that was bad.

Irish haven’t played anyone since. Put them in the big 10, ACC or SEC and see how they do. ND being independent is a joke. They shouldn’t get rewarded for it.

My older brother played against Stabler when he was in high school at Foley. Must have been the late 50's.

Notre Dame gets rewarded for having a national fan base. Notre Dame=eyeballs. Remember you’re dealing with a corrupt sport with no set post-season criteria, the only major sport without one.

I watched Notre Dame Saturday. They should not be ranked anywhere close to 3... maybe 12 and that is just because they are undefeated... but don’t play anyone. I think Syracuse will take care of them shortly. Always over rated. Vanderbilt almost beat this year.

I remember playing high school football in Dubuque, Iowa. In a game against Waterloo West their halfback was one Mr. Don Perkins who went on to fame with the Dallas Cowboys. They creamed us.

Old media IMHO. most people, granted I’m in SEC territory think ND is the overrated ugly friend of the prom queen. Now if D = seats or eyes on a game then it makes sens but no one in 800 miles thinks it anything then network BS.
