Why? He got to go to the World Series with the Dodgers in ‘74, and though he was traded to the Cubs for Rick Monday when it was clear that Steve Garvey was the future at first base, was always remembered fondly by Dodger fans.

Somewhere Bill Buckner is celebrating … Billy Buck was one of my favorite Dodgers EVER. I hated what the Red Sox fans did to him.
My Dodgers got spanked hard. And now I have a sad.
