Vanity: OK have had the Jeep for a While, Time to Find My Old People Car
After talking with you wonderful ones here at FR I bought a Sahara Altitude 2015 just coming off of lease. I have had it for over 18 months, bought at mileage 28K and now it is 52K and I am thinking it is time for a more practical car.
I will be doing more like 18K per year from now on.
It is supposedly worth 27-29 thousand and I am hoping to flip it without a car payment. So I am thinking of another low mileage innocent coming off of lease.
Perhaps one that Motha drove to church, and to Bingo?
I need a long lasting car, for I will drive this into the ground. Something uncomplicated. (I really miss my 82 Saab 900)
Your ideas would be welcome.
Nothing like Sunday night with the Freepers!

Honda civic
Old people like to recreate their youth. What about a muscle car or sportscar?
I should have specified that I have a 1800 foot gravel driveway and that I live in an unforgiving northern state. Although, I no longer have to drive in bad weather.
Many people have found Subarus to be very practical, and last a long time. If I were buying a practical car, instead of continuing with the luxury sport sedan route, they would be my choice.

The Jeep was my Recreate. Prior to that it was the six speed Golf Diesel. Considered a sports car around here. Who knew?
Now it needs to be something durable, practical, good in snow, and can manage my gravel driveway.
I can no longer have the MGB mentality I had in my youth.
In no particular order...
Toyota Camry
Toyota Corolla
Honda Accord
Honda Civic
Last of the V8 Interceptors... young pre-psycho Mel Gibson not included.
My driveway killed a Caravan in 50K when the chicks were young.
Thank you.
Are you Corey Booker??
Plus a 10+ year old Subaru Forester for the winter months.
Toyota Sequoia. You’re welcome.
Mazda CX-5 All Wheel Drive or a Subaru, maybe Forrester 2019, which I think is their first direct injected engine. That engine should come to the Outback next year.

:)
LOL.
Son drives an WRX. We swap occasionally.
Like driving a four wheeled motorcycle!!
Thank you!
I have an old V8 04 Jeep Cherokee with 124 K miles on it. That’s not a typo on the miles. Also still have my old college car the Volvo 740 in storage. The only reason why I bought the Volvo was because my uncle had one and always got laid at the back of it..
Subaru Outback or Forester. I like Kayak fishing, shooting and blowing stuff up.

A nice fantasy!
