You mean exhibition, theatrical “wrestling?”

It's true that the outcome of a match is predetermined, but these guys get injured all the time. If it looks like it hurts, it does.

2004, Dirty Dick was convicted of attacking his girlfriend with a butcher knife. He was sentenced a year of house arrest and two years probation.

Oh, I don’t doubt that there is athleticism involved in the antics they put on in (and out of) the ring, but please, some of those hits are so obviously fake. It’s pure theater.

He wrestled in the WWF as “The Rebel” in the mid 80s when Vinnie Mac first took over the company and started to expand the promotion nation-wide.

I really enjoyed the antics of the Dick Slater-Bob Orton Jr tag team in the Mid-Atlantic territory in the early 1980s.
Slater was great in Mid South, too. When both Slater and Orton wound up in the WWF, they didn’t really do much.
He shall be missed. Rest in Peace.

You mean exhibition, theatrical wrestling? It was REAL fake wrestling back in Slater's day.

but please, some of those hits are so obviously fake. Its pure theater. But, it a lot more enjoyable back years ago when they pretended it was real and when half of the fans thought it was real.
Now, that they admit it is fake, pro wrestling is a bore.

Both Lou Thesz and Freddie Blassie respected him and were willing to put him over.

Hi.
Most pro wrestlers die early (before age 78).
Plus, a majority die in FL.
I don’t know why. Ask Gordon Solie or Vince McMahon.
Ooops...forgot, you can’t ask Gordon.
