Hopefully, it will go smoothly. I remember when the 2017 October release hit. The install wouldn’t complete on three of my five machines. After spending many many hours trying to sort it out, I finally realized that the Diskcryptor encryption software loaded on those machines prevented it from installing. Once I uninstalled Diskcryptor all was well.

This is why I always give it a week before updating. Wait and see how the latest patch works for others.
This is also another reason I’m sticking with Win 7 until basic support runs out, then I’ll install Win 8.1 - and when 8.1 support ends, I’m all set to go with Linux as my only/main OS (I’m using it at this very moment, heh).
