I like any cat with some orange color. Like this one or tiger stripe etc. Cats own the color orange which is fairly rare in the animal kingdom. Though many insects have some orange and some birds probably as sexual attractant.

Kitty Ping! Any one who tells you cats aren’t social creatures has never been around a cat.

They’re loveable lovebugs and there are velcro cats out there.

We’ve had our house cat now for 11 years. For about 3 years worth of vacations we farmed her out to a “catery” so she’d be properly fed and cared for while we were gone.

That was the worst thing we could have done, as this place also boarded dogs. The last time we did this the dogs were barking up a storm, and our cat was scared to death. Actually quite traumatized.

She also hates going to the Vet, there’s something about the odor. Our dog we had years ago was the same.

My point is, these shelters are no different. It’s gotta be pure terror for these animals. Was this cat neglected by a previous owner, or just scared to death from having to be in a shelter? I’d say the latter. Cats are solitary animals that can fend for themselves quite well when free.

Put a human in a cage next to caged wild cougars on one side and a hungry grizzly bear on the other, and I betcha that human would look neglected too after a long stay.

Aww what a sweet gorgeous kitty. My ginger, matter of fact none of our cats, like to be held for very long. He does greet us at the door, “communicates” a lot, and will lay next to you on the bed with his paw on your arm or leg. Knows what “give kisses” means lol. I understand her predicament. It’s very tempting to collect kitty cats! Only the thought of more litter boxes keeps me from doing it lol.

I have 2 cats, both on my lap now. They're very affectionate. Always wanting to be on my lap, and rubbing their whiskers against me. They brighten up my at.

We have a 17-year-old male that looks just like him! We rescued him as a kitten. He has an extra toe on each foot. Named him Yoda because he would hold his ears out like his namesake. Huge cat!

Hmmm...I recognize the body language of all those cats on the couch. That isn't, "We're all friends and all get along" -- it's "I wish all these other cats were gone and I had this person to myself!

I have two that really do like each other (siblings) but when it comes to getting attention, they are in constant competition.

That said, lovely story...lovely kittehs :)

That poor cat is so traumatized. You can tell from the body language. They need to wean it off them by the time their baby arrives, though. Brushing is the best therapy for emotionally hurting kitties.

Wonderful story! I am so glad that there are people out there who would adopt a 9 y.o. kitty and fill his life with love and hugs. This story is an antidote to the endless stories about the excrement-quality dummocraps and their filthy antics.
