I’m not defending the truthfulness/falsity of her testimony, but I do think it’s entirely possible to understand a lot of science words and not know what “exculpatory” means.

My science vocabulary is much better than my legal vocabulary.

I have to say, though, that her science-y talk doesn’t sound like it came from someone who understands it. It sounds (to me) like someone who has memorized some stuff with big words and can regurgitate it without really understanding what she’s saying.

I always taught me kids not to hate. Don’t use the word and always know that someone has things going on of which you are not aware, so maybe their actions are understandable. Pity, comfort, understand or avoid, but not hate.
