What was perhaps Trump's biggest surprise upon assuming office? Espionage, corruption, treason? No, he was well aware of all those facets of the deep state. Rather, I think the courts surprised him - a bit. Sure, he knew they too were in enemy hands, but the sheer brazen disregard for still existing settled procedures eg using district rulings to effect national security policy, may have initially caught him off guard.

So, as we saw, much of the MAGA domestic agenda was put on hold while Trump pursued foreign policies objectives. All the while, the groundwork was being prepared to build a judicial foundation of support during the 2nd half of his first term. Now, with Kav securely in place, Trump can finally, finally go on the domestic offensive without risking his flank.

The wall, voting ID, military tribunals, etc are all on the plank, ready to be rolled and deployed. WWII didn't turn for the Brits until Pearl brought us in in late '41. That means two years of touch & go existential struggle. Or, as the Duke said in an earlier era "It has been a damned nice thing — the nearest run thing you ever saw in your life."

What will be interesting is how future generations view our struggle. They will only read/hear about the stories, but never experience the gut wrenching resolve and patience victory required of all patriots.
