=========================================================================
The mischievous moggie was found curled up in bed next to a bag containing at least 20 wraps of Class A drugs.
Forensic experts are still analysing the substance but do not believe it is the deadly party drug mephedrone, otherwise known as MKAT or Meow Meow.
Avon and Somerset Police are keeping the identity of the pet cat secret after its shocked owner alerted officers about the find at their home in the St Pauls district of Bristol over the weekend.
A photograph of the wraps in clear plastic was Tweeted by the Avon and Somerset force, with the message: Look what the cat dragged in Great result in St Paul's when a resident's cat brought this in during the night! The owner got a bit of a shock but called us straight away!
And in later Tweet, the force joked felines might start replacing sniffer dogs on the thin blue frontline.
Alongside emojis of a cat and police officer, the force Tweeted: Forget police dogs, we should start training up cats.
Apparently the owner found this in the cat's bed, with the feline curled up next to it!
The fun social media posting, reacted a quick response from pet lovers, with one joking: Secretly hoping its MKAT just for the wordplay opportunities.

Another added: I always tell my cat to go steady on the catnip, as its the gateway to a bigger problem...
The suggestion that cats might be used by law enforcement agencies for their sensitive noses might not sound as far-fetched some may think.
A domestic cats olfactory senses are more than 12 times more acute than in a human being down to felines having twice as many smell receptors.
That said, cats still lag far behind dogs when using their noses. Dogs have up to 300 million olfactory receptors compared to a cats 12 million, while the area of the brain dedicated to analysing smell is 40 times greater in a dog than a human.
One of the most remarkable drugs seizures ever made by a drug-sniffer dog was a consignment of 35lbs of cannabis submerged in a petrol inside a fuel tank.
They aren’t sure what it is, yet... maybe it’s ground catnip.
Trouble ahead
Sniffer pussy . . . .
Hope the little guy didn’t ingest any of it while toying with it.
Perhaps the bundles of drug looked like toy mice.
Obviously you've never done coke......................
Yeah, the difference between a dog and a cat is that the dog is sniffing for treats. The cat is sniffing cause it wants some coke for its all-night parties.
They’ll let you know as soon as they get him off the ceiling................
Cats always like a good stink.
Police have just learned that the hero cat (also known as Katvenpaw) has been accused by an unnamed source for an unnamed sex crime that took place at an unknown place and at an unknown time, but it was a long time ago (in cat years).
The Rats in the neighborhood believe the unnamed source, although they have no evidence to go on. (So they are holding it in, requesting a delay.) This is hue and series. Their bowels could explode.
Will Katvenpaw be vindicated in the court of public opinion? Stay tuned. We only have to wait until Thursday. No. Friday. No. Sometime over the weekend. No wait. Maybe next Monday, or possibly Tuesday.
:-)
LOL!...................
Good kitty ping.
Nope
Honest officer my cat brought it home. Yeah right, and hiding the dope in the litter box doesn’t work either.
Dog probably ate your homework too.
Great pic! We a Maine Coon and she was onery at certain times.
