There is a term in psychology known as projection...
It is very likely the roommate himself fit/fits that description and from envy and insecurity, feels the need to project his own shortcomings onto someone more exemplary in conduct than he.
You don’t make it through law school at Yale if you are a heavy drinker.

He did not witness the alleged incident....did not even HEAR about the alleged incident. Only says the group Kavanaugh “hung out with” were capable of doing this.
