How is the search function within outlook? I am talking about web based OUTLOOK.COM email from Microsoft.
Try OE Classic - resides on your machine - great support and $25.00 one time fee. Excellent.
They made us all go to Google Apps too, which is even more irritating. Fortunately for me, my area is allowed to order and use Office. Trying to switch from Excel to Sheets is a non-starter for me, the email is bad enough.
There is one good side, though. We were limited in how big our online mail could get, and and to constantly manage the space. (Moving it to the PST file on the local computer) where there appear to be no such limits...so there’s that!
I can’t really say. I use it mostly on my phone, but can always find what I am looking for when using the PC too.
I’ve used both - kinda stuck with gmail right now and for the foreseeable future - Outlook is better, period.
I use gmail for interactions with commercial and political sites - it’s essentially my junk mail site.
I use my MS Outlook for my own personal emails - the ones I monitor and read every day for real personal stuff, for people that I actually work with, and for existing business relationships that are actually important.
I never used outlook because it was a virus trap. Thunderbird is free. Thunderbird also allows you to strip attachments.
Yes.
Me too but I really can't stand MSN! They are not even part of Microsoft just a third party news aggregator they links quickly to live.com. As to the email function, I like it better than gmail
thanks!
Most do, but you lose it if you change ISPs.
Google scans every email you send.
It doesn’t get much worse than that.
That’s what I get for being an old fuddy-duddy.
Microsoft is less that creative with their naming. For example, they’ve had several completely different products called “Microsoft Mail” over the years, and, of course, Microsoft has had two completely different email products called Outlook and Outlook Express, both of which are different from the former Hotmail now known as Outlook.
Yes, it does. Google allows third parties to read your emails, as well. So a competitor could end up with rights to read all incoming and outgoing emails.
Pay no attention to that buffoonish clown behind the curtain; he’s not even worthy of a response.
I stopped using Firefox and Thunderbird when their board kicked out Brandon Eich and started supporting terrorist organizations overseas, but yet, Outlook gives you the option of not leaving anything on the server.
I miss Outlook Express......
OE Classic? Where does that exist within newer Microsoft operating systems?
OE Classic is a third party replacement for Outlook Express.
Outlook Express was obsoleted after Win95/98.
