I agree in principle but after experiencing a couple of hurricanes in Florida, truth is all that stuff is going to get thrown away.
The power in my local Publix went out for six hours and everything that was cold had to be tossed in the trash. all the bread and produce had to be tossed in the trash. They're not allowed to sell anything that could possibly be contaminated.

So circumstances determine the morality? Beer isn’t going to go bad. If someone is starving and steals a loaf of bread, well, I get that. Beer and laundry detergent?
No, I probably wouldn’t shoot him but he better get charged and replace whatever he destroyed.
