Probably do a better job cleaning them and they're cute and cuddly, unlike the hardcore homeless and City Hall.
The goats are non-native having been introduced to the area in the 1920s.
Federal, state agencies announce plan to move goats to Cascades via helicopter

Beginning on Monday, a coalition of state and federal agencies will start to move mountain goats from Olympic National Park to the northern Cascade Mountains, according to a news release from the National Park Service, state Department of Fish and Wildlife and the U.S. Forest Service.
The move is aimed at re-establishing the depleted mountain goat populations in the Washington Cascades, and reduce problems caused in the Olympics by the non-native goats.
In May, the Park Service released its final Mountain Goat Management Plan that outlines the effort to remove the estimated 725 mountain goats on the Olympic Peninsula. Both the plan and the associated environmental impact statement were finalized after an public review process that began in 2014.

What does it matter that the goats are said to ‘like’ human excretions, and who’s making that claim?
Norm, there has to be some good captions for that first
pic.
Honey, you said you got the lowest fairs on priceline?
Oops, fares not fairs.
Drugged, hobbled, and blindfolded is no way to see the sights.
Not stated in the video is the goats in the park that can’t be caught will be killed.
Like most critters, they need salt. A few boxes of free salt would have curbed the problem, unless a whole bunch of people are running around Olympic Park peeing on everything,, in which case free salt wouldn’t be very effective. Which begs the question - what are the people visiting Olympic Park Reallllly doing at night that led to the ruin and banishment of goats?
A hiker was killed in 2010 by one of those mountain goats and last year another man had to shoot one that was being aggressive. They can be dangerous.
Because everyone knows that dressing up goats like batman and sling-loading them beneath a helicopter is less stressful than putting them in a cattle truck...
Can’t get a truck to many of these alpine locations in the Olympics. This is not Kansas.
I’ve lived there and hiked many of the ONF trails. Dump the beasties off at the trail-heads...they’ll find their way up hill...
Regards,
Ouch!
All they had to do is let people hunt them.
No, they had to spend millions
