I heard about a puzzling trend recently. Apparently clinics working with children with gender dysphoria issues were seeing a sudden surge of adolescent girls who identified as boys.
In Britain, one well-known gender clinic reports that the majority of its adolescent population, once 50-50, is now overwhelmingly trans-male (female-to-male). What’s going on? Lisa Littman, a doctor and researcher at Brown University, decided to find out. But these are shark-infested waters, as she discovered the hard way. After she published her results, activists released a barrage of protest on social media, and the university quickly distanced itself from her findings.
Dr. Littman describes the condition experienced by these girls as “rapid-onset gender dysphoria" (ROGD). It develops during or soon after puberty and mainly affects girls with no previous signs of childhood gender dysphoria . Many, however, do have a history of mental illness, and some are on the autism spectrum. The most controversial element of Dr. Littman's research is her claim that ROGD spreads via social and peer contagion. While the incidence of gender dysphoria in the general population is quite low – less than 1 per cent – it’s not uncommon for two or more girls in the same friendship group – or even half of them – to begin to identify as transgender. ROGD also spreads by social media according to Dr. Littman; some parents describe their daughters binge-watching YouTube transition videos. “It is plausible that online content may encourage vulnerable individuals to believe that nonspecific symptoms and vague feelings should be interpreted as gender dysphoria stemming from a transgender condition,” Dr Littman writes in her research article.

Some people are intensely concerned with fashion. Gender issues are as trendy as hemlines and shoes. If suicide suddenly became trendy, you’d see a huge number of, mostly girls, committing suicide.

Yep, it’s trendy and cool.
They called us tomboys. I played baseball, basketball and even football with the guys. I had dolls but hardly played with them. I drove racecars and demolition derby in my 20’s and 30’s even though girls didn’t race . I dressed in boys jeans because when I was young, girls wore dresses. I grew up to be a woman and to this day, I love being a woman but I still enjoy doing “manly” things.
I never felt genger dysphoric. I just thought boys had more fun.
Trendy, combined with no core values.
If ALL children were raised in Judeo/Christian homes, with very clear morals and values, this would not be happening. This is just another example of an attack on decency by the left, and a lost and empty young people looking for an anchor.
Because it is considered cool right now.
One of the (many) unfortunate side effects of trans ideology is that there will no longer be room for tomboys or any other “normal” variation within the two biological sexes. Now any deviation from the norm will be referred for hormone treatment and surgery.
It is because the Left is constantly telling they they are no good unless they act like men or try to be men.

Yes. It’s all the fashion these days to be gender confused. Besides, being gay also allows you to get away with anything and everything. Just claim you messed up or said the wrong thing due to being gay and all is forgiven - and you get praised. Double win.
Because girls are generally stupid, and highly subject to group think and trend think, and are not leaders but rather followers.
And with a father in the home.
