Pacific hurricanes have always been called Typhoons and have never been counted in the number of annual Atlantic hurricanes.
Now that the predictions of the hysterical global warming con artists are failing miserably, Pacific typhoons have become hurricanes and are in the news to make the numbers appear higher.
To the Left, it doesn’t matter what happens; it only matters what their media propaganda arm says happened.

No, in this part of the Pacific these extreme low pressure anticlockwise cyclonic disturbances have always been called hurricanes.
Not quite. Cyclones in the Atlantic, Carribbean, and central and northeast Pacific (where Hawaii is located) have traditionally been called hurricanes, and in the northwest Pacific are called typhoons. In the south pacific and indian ocean they are just called cyclones.

Calling Pacific typhoons hurricanes, allows them to add them to the number of annual hurricanes, thus increasing the apparent number.
So they can say, "See? We were right!"
