SUAMICO, Wis. (WFRV) - Village of Suamico Police are asking for the public's help to verify claims of a mountain lion in the area.
They shared the story on their Facebook page, saying the calls came in around 9 pm Friday and claim the animal was in the area of Veterans Ave. between CTH B and Norfield Rd.
The sightings have not been confirmed by police or the DNR, but if you have information or pictures of the cougar, you're asked to share it with Suamico Police. Police also say mountain lions are rare for this area but not unheard of. Most sightings turn out to be a different animal. They say there have been no documented mountain lion attacks in the area.
