They got him. Just as I feared they would.
My nephew Kyle came to live with us this summer after his freshman year of college. Apparently hes now a deputized member of the cultural-appropriation police.

Should’ve sent him to basic training instead.

I’m 50. Tried to join Nat. Guard after 9/11 but at 5 10, 250, they said beat it fatso.
I wish i had gone into the military instead of college.
Would have given me much needed discipline and saved ME lots of GRIEF in life!!
Wouldn’t be the worst thing to reinstate mandatory.
Wish it were true.
Stupid article. No way its a true story.
ROFL/LOL outstanding! Sounds like that boy is ripe for becoming a conservative with the right counter-education.
Very funny. Cultural appropriation is definitely one of the many places where the left has gone off the deep end.
Wait till the barrio finds out Tres Equis beer is the result of German brewers in Mexico.
I also doubt it’s true, but as a teacher, I’m sure this guy makes use of every opportunity to tease his students over the cultural appropriation nonsense.
Funny story!

That is funny.
We’ve thought about pointing out to all of these aggrieved snowflakes that if they speak English, they are appropriating our culture (if they are not Anglo-Saxons). Plus, they are appropriating our culture any time they wear jeans, t-shirts, etc.
Humans take ideas from each other. We’ve always done it.
Cultural appropriation is natural to our culture. We invent things, and after work we go eat Italian. Or Thai. Then we work out at the dojo.
We take the parts of your culture we like, and make them ours. Its how we are. If you don’t like it, tough.
Maybe not the worst but bad enough to not do it.
Me, too. It's one of the great regrets of my life.
No.
Is joke.
Dave Barry did this sort of thing better though.
Regrets smegrets; it is not all that - and depending on the time of service you could very well have come out in a body bag, pieces no one ever finds, missing various bits and part of your body, psychologically injured/damaged and never recover, what you could have been gone forever from the trauma.
In any case, the you that went in would not be the you that comes back good or bad.
Any culture.
What is Hunan cuisine?
Where did their chilies come from?
