This summer, I found myself heading back to the U.K. as it was plunging into a debate over Islamic dress. Boris Johnson, the country’s former foreign secretary and London’s ex-mayor, wrote a column opposing attempts to ban face-covering veils. Nonetheless, he added, “it is absolutely ridiculous that people should choose to go around looking like letter boxes.” The responses could hardly have been more heated.
I wanted to cut past the polemics and experience London’s Muslim communities for myself. My first visit was to Tower Hamlets, an East London borough that is about 38% Muslim, among the highest in the U.K. As I walked down Whitechapel Road, the adhan, or call to prayer, echoed through the neighborhood. Muslims walked in one direction for jumu’ah, Friday prayer, while non-Muslims went the opposite way. Each group kept its distance and avoided eye contact with the other. A sign was posted on a pole: “Alcohol restricted zone.”

IIRC from reading previous FR posts, there are parts of NYC and suburban Detroit that look much like the sections of England described in the article.
No need to go to the UK, parts of Minneapolis a.k.a New Mogadishu, look like Somali complete with dilapidated cars, decaying housing and the people on the street dressing in full Somali style regalia. Muslims have no intent of ever integrating into our society, but toconvert the west into a sharia compliant dung heap.

I remember the old Cedar-Riverside area back in the early to mid 80’s. I lived in a dorm in the west Bank of the U. The area was kinda out there with a lot of liberals and burn-out 60’s types - but all in all, it wasn’t too bad. There were a few decent bars and even a co-op where I could get milk. I even went to a few parties in the Cedar-Riverside towers. They weren’t special but the were clean and decent enough.
But nowadays, the Cedar-Riverside area is a Somali-infested pit. I wouldn’t say that it has decayed to Third World status yet - but it is heading in that direction. There’s zero reason for me to go down that way anymore.
” successful multiculturalism” is when women are in hospital being treated for rape, the men’s heads are in one box and their bodies in another, no one is drinking alcohol, so no pubs, everyone gets to wake up at 5 to hear the call to muzzy prayer, and the streets are full of walking tents.
I saw one of these “walking letter boxes” in the supermarket the other day, in Cheshire. Cheshire, Connecticut.
I live in NYC, and while there’s a lot more Muslims than there used to be, there are no neighborhoods that I know of that are similar to what is described in this article. There are so many religious Christian immigrants here...from the upper middle class Chinese and Koreans, who have taken over many of the suburban Protestant churches, to the working class Hispanics, who set up these little makeshift churches in storefronts in low rent neighborhoods. And the religious Jewish neighborhoods are as strong as ever....completely unchanged since I moved here in the early 80’s. On the other hand, the many, many beautiful, opulent, historic churches in Manhattan have been taken over by the cultural Marxist infiltrators, and have transformed into churches of social justice, like that Father Pfleger jerk in Chicago.
If practicing Islam, be sure you also obey all American law and Constitutional law. Islam in the United States is in line with hundreds of other beliefs....Islam must give way to our First Amendment, i.e., freedom of Religion.
Britain is finished. Over and done.
