Ah, Tanglewood! So beautiful to sit on the grass with a picnic basket and some wine listening to...classical music!!!
Yes, you and I have exchanged this sentiment before, and I entirely agree. I was very young, living in Chicago when he died, and I remember hearing the announcement on the radio. A terrible waste.
And yeah, Bobby Lamm was a big-time liberal, and hated Nixon and all, but he pretty much has just mailed it in since Kath died. But he wrote some great songs back in those early days.
No, Seiji Ozawa with the Boston Symphony. 1975 or 76. Got to shake his hand afterward. Went about 10 years ago also. I love the Berkshires.
She’s a good performer. I’ve seen Judy Collins in performance - she’s a genius. Awful person, really, I’ve met her on two occasions (dry drunk) but still listen to her records and still will go to a concert of hers.
Ah the Shadows and Light tour with Pat, Lyle and Jaco.
I did not know that.
I always heard it was a ratio of drugs mixed up. Thanks.
I don't think that was what she did at Tanglewood, I think Pat sat in on some of her shows though I can't recall if he was there. I seem to remember it was just her and her "band".. I have the DVD for the Shadows and Light tour - excellent.

or perhaps a reference to the weekend shooting body counts in Chicago
That was the year I saw Pat and Lyle on the “American Garage” tour, still one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to.
Netflix has a documentary on Chicago. They toured with Jimi. Thats when, according to the band, Hendrix made those statements.
Why couldn’t Mark David Chapman have hated Peter Cetera?
LOL, or at least spared one bullet for Yoko.
Both my Jr. High and High school’s swing bands played 25 or 6 to 4 as the intro to every pep rally/assembly. That was 1972 to 1978. I love this song!
I glanced at the title of the article and assumed this was a story on the weekend totals of those shot, and killed in Chicago.
Kath is on fire...
Ive always liked Chicago but they lost a lot when they lost him.
They lost everything, when they lost Kath. It became the Peter Cetera Show after that.
