William H. McRaven, a retired Navy admiral, was commander of the U.S. Joint Special Operations Command from 2011 to 2014. He oversaw the 2011 Navy SEAL raid in Pakistan that killed al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

Former CIA director John Brennan, whose security clearance you revoked on Wednesday, is one of the finest public servants I have ever known. Few Americans have done more to protect this country than John. He is a man of unparalleled integrity, whose honesty and character have never been in question, except by those who don

One of the ‘finest public servants’ he ever knew was a damned Communist.

Look, the frakin’ government needs to get its collective sh*t together - make it a goshdamn policy that any government worker, military or non-military, to include politicians, cabinet members, etc., etc., have their security clearance REVOKED upon separation from the government, period! They can be issued back temporarily as needed/required, then taken back upon service(s) rendered.

At least Admiral Boorda had the decency to commit suicide.

DO IT.

McRaven has been retired from the Navy for years. He shouldn’t even have a valid security clearance at this point.

Plus, he considers Brennan a true patriot. That alone should be grounds to strip him of any current security privileges.

That's funny right there. I don't care who you are!

” He oversaw the 2011 Navy SEAL raid in Pakistan that killed al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.”

Translation: Watched it on TV back at base, with a cool refreshing drink in his hand.

A SEAL can be a traitor just like anyone else. This is far more likely if they have flag rank.

Since he obviously wants nothing to do with the President, and is acting in an unprofessional manner towards him (a knife in the back, done politely, is still a knife in the back), and is requesting his security clearance be removed, maybe President Trump should accommodate him.

Obviously the quality of USN Admirals has declined rather precipitously.

” In 1982, as a junior officer McRaven was assigned to SEAL Team SIX under the command of CDR Richard Marcinko but was pushed out in 1983 due to McRaven’s concerns about a culture of recklessness, military discipline, and difficulties in keeping his sailors in line”

Tells me all I need to know about this REMF.

No, I disagree. There is a major shortage of cleared individuals in the labor force. I am not saying we need more, but when a military person comes off active duty and wants to join the work force, having that person in the pool ready for hire can save up to 18 months of getting/redoing a background investigation. That make the difference between filling a critical hire, or having to pay for the in-cleared hire to do busy work while his investigation is in progress. So a blanket revocation is not the answer.

Having said that, CHARACTER is one of the necessary attributes to get cleared. You wont get a clearance if you have demonstrated that you welch on debts, cant be honest with your employer or others, get in hock with the law, are a member of an organization bent on overthrowing the govt, etc, etc. Brennan and the cabal that is out defaming the duly elected POTUS are demonstrating character inconsistent with someone who has the interest of the nation in mind. Public criticism of the CiC of the armed forces is not the actions of someone with whom you trust national secrets.

Looks like this clown has never fired a shot. Another blowhard, standing up for a communist that lead a plot to overthrow the US Government.

***President Trump. IF SOMEONE REQUESTS their clearance be revoked, please do so immediately. When someone tells you who they are, BELIEVE THEM.

I texted my friend from high school about this just a few minutes ago, who is a retired Col. from Delta Force. He said McRaven is a horses ass - no one liked the guy - the SEALs hated him - Brennan lied to congress and actually committed treason by working with a foreign govt. - the Brits - to take down Pres Trump - watch the response that’s about to come out.

Therefore, I would consider it an honor if you would revoke my security clearance as well...I think all security clearances lapse after a certain period of time, maybe ten years, and have to be renewed anyway - patience, Admiral - time heals all wounds, and hopefully in your case wounds all heals.....

Precisely. As a blanket policy Trump should revoke them from ANYBODY who is not currently serving in government.
