SUFFOLK, Va. - An argument over who played Aretha Franklin in a movie turned violent Thursday morning when one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the other one, according to the Suffolk police and WTKR.
Police were called around 10:45 a.m. to the scene of the reported shooting, at the intersection of East Washington and Liberty streets.
Authorities said two men were arguing when one of them pulled out a firearm and shot the other. Both men were later taken to hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The man who was shot was last listed Thursday morning in serious condition at a hospital, police said.
A witness told WTKR the men were arguing over whether Halle Berry played Franklin in a movie. Authorities continue to investigate.

“Authorities continue to investigate”
I would think they could find out pretty fast who has played Franklin in movies.
I believe that arguments as crucial as this one should be played out until one side dies.
And yes, they vote too.
Just payin’ “R*E*S*P*E*C*T” (1964) by delivering Something He Can Feel (1967).
Am I going to hell for laughing at this?
Oops, 1976, not 1967. Darn lesdyxia.
Imdb is a great resource.
The guy with the gun wins the argument.
Hassidic diamond merchants?
You'd better think..
See you there.
aretha wanted Berry to play her in bio flick. The only one who should play her is Jennifer hudson dead on performance. No pun intended.
Excellent
Didnt she play herself the Blues Brothers?
I was the shooter - guy had it coming. All I was askin’...was for a little respect (just a little bit, just a little bit).
I hear that it may be a bit crowded.
I better keep my mouth shut. I thought her work was for shit. A lot of blah, blah mumbling and shouting. All I think of is her huge ass wrapped in upholstery material. Probably a nice lady.
hmmmm ..that gives me an idea for a GREAT TV game show that involves movie trivia and loaded firearms....
