Challenge for Jim Acosta
today | self

Posted on 08/03/2018 9:23:11 AM PDT by asinclair

When I was involved in debate club, one thing that was hammered home was that a good debater can argue both sides of a question. I've seen Acosta present one side; what do you think would happen if he had to present the other?

TOPICS: Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: debate; journalism
A journalist should not be a debater. (Unless it's in the context of Point, Counterpoint) By definition, a journalist is required to report both sides of an issue. A little detail that all liberals and not a few conservatives have missed.

Another little detail that whizzes right by the current crop of "reporters" is that the reader/listener should not be able to detect the personal feelings of the reporter. If the reporter is letting his/her opinions through, then it should be in the opinion pages, not the front page. (Radio/TV equivalents apply here.)

And that is why the members of the media who only tell half of the story are "enemies of the state".

Best strategy: IGNORE the punk.

Acosta has a twisted liberal mind. It is not possible for him to actually see the other side of the issues he is tasked to promote.

He would “take the other side” by pretending to be a Hillbilly Nazi and/or Evil Corporation.

enemies of the state

The problem is that they are friends of the [deep] state and therefore enemies of the People.

What an astute statement, because if someone is only telling half of the story, you are correct in calling them just a member of the media, NOT a journalist!

The media is the deep state.

They are part of the deep state, but they are not the deep state, which includes low level unpurged federal employees and a coaterie of former officials now working on K-street or for think tanks, etc.

The press is a problem but a long way from the whole problem.

If the shtf, the journalists’ body guards would exit the AO post haste.

Not an attempted thread hijack.

He would require a whole new set of gaskets if he ever tried that.

Acosta is not a debater, he’s not a journalist, he’s a propagandist.

Illogical.

I think what you might have really meant was this: They are part of the deep state, but they are not the entire deep state.

and a coaterie of former officials now working on K-street or for think tanks, etc.

IF, by "etc." you mean THE MEDIA, then I agree.

The press is a problem but a long way from the whole problem.

I don't know about "a long way". Seems like they are 90% of the problem.
