What were the plans for the "refugee" kids?

Keep in mind that many Muslim names are picked up during indoctrination to Calypso Louie’s Nation of Islam, very often in the prison setting.
Years ago ... some of the mountain clans in that region of NM were fiercely parochial—outsiders risked their lives going into their area. Supposedly some even re-enacted the Crucifixion with a real person to the death. Wouldn’t surprise me of there was still all manner of evil going on there.
