BASALT, Colo. Firefighters battling the Lake Christine Fire got a special treat Friday when Neil Diamond stopped by to perform Sweet Caroline and other songs for them.
Diamond and his wife came by an Incident Command Post to meet and thank the firefighters who have been fighting the blaze, which was estimated at 12,588 acres Sunday evening. The fire is 82 percent contained.
In a separate video, he points a finger at the firefighters.
Now, you have to save my house, he said.

Go Neil!!!
Hes a dim like most performers but not as vocal as say Streisand.
And yes I like a few of his tunes.
He is a Dem but he performed for Reagan and took heat for it and to this day has never backed down about it.
An American icon.
He asked the firefighters where the fire began but they said they can’t begin to knowing...
At least he writes his own songs. Barbara Streisand most likely writes with crayons and construction paper.
Lake Caroline?
He wrote their big duet hit “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers” for a Norman Lear TV pilot and originally recorded it solo.
He also wrote ‘Red Red Wine’ which became a huge hit for UB 40.
Of course, they had to make a slight altercation to one of his earlier songs, and rename it to “Boy, You’ll Be A Woman, Soon.’
