Guns can be manufactured anywhere. As we speak 10 year old boys in Pakistan are hand-building AK-47s that work like a charm. It’s 19th Century technology.

CT keeps raising taxes, implementing anti gun laws. Of course the manufacturers will move

Gun manufacturers used to be primarily in Northeastern states like CT, MA, NY because when they started in the 1800’s there was water power available.
Since those states have become communist, those manufacturers are fleeing, taking the jobs with them.

Companies are moving to business friendly states. It isn’t Trump’s fault, it is the fault of Liberals...

Why would any gun makers still want to remain in the nutbag state? Or any other business for that matter? I think even GE recently relocated...to of all places...Massachussetts! If that’s a better deal than CT then you know there is a problem.

“under the Trump administration, gun manufacturers now have more incentive to leave Connecticut and seek business in states such as South Carolina”

what exactly does Trump have to do with gun manufacturers moving from CT to SC? Oh, yeah, right ... gotta get a few random attacks in on Trump in whether they’re relevant or not ...

This makes no sense.

Gun manufacturing companies came to Connecticut expecting a surge in gun sales after the Sandy Hook massacre...

What? No they did not! Why would they?

Has a SINGLE gun manufacturer NOT in Connecticut before Netwon even moved TO Connecticut after?

No.

... but they might not stay for long under a gun-friendly Republican president.

Baby, they've been moving out long before Trump came to power.

Seems to me you Connecticut liberals would be glad to see them go...

What a bunch of dishonest dopes. These reporters know damned well that it's their fellow dope, gun-hostile malloy, who's driving, not just gun manufacturers, but businesses of all stripes, out of the state.

Remember back in 1962 when Thomas J Dodd and Emanuel Cellar called for a ban on the import of 5 shot bolt action army surplus rifles and pistols, because of imaginary crime with them? They got their ban in 1968.

Then it was found the REAL REASON they wanted this ban was to protect the local CT industries making Hunting rifles. Persons should be paying $45.00 (at that time) for a slick, shiny rifle than $10 for an army surplus rifle.

Now the CT law makers hate ALL guns.
